Dongtan Eco-city, Shanghai, China

made in china

tõeline ökokinnisvara arendus - a seda saab vist esilgu lubada vaid riik, kes "omab" enda kodanikke

värki vaadates jääb mulje et asja eesmärk on viia hiina kaupade hind veel madalamaks - luua töösipelgatele säästulampidega valgustatud töökeskkond vm taolist :)

Freiburgist päris loetav artikkel:

Is this the greenest city in the world?

Eco housing, car-free streets and socially conscious neighbours have made the German city of Freiburg a shining example of sustainability. But this brave utopian vision of clean living has its fair share of dirty linen, finds Andrew Purvis

Linna elektrivarusutsest on vaid 4% taastuvenergia (PV ja tuul) - 2010 vbl. kuni 10% ... ja nad on seda öko rida ajanud juba 86 aastast - st. ca 24 aastat ...

Solar PV and other renewables still only provide 2% of the power that Freiburg needs. The city generates 50% of its electricity from natural gas CHP plants, and the rest is imported, including 30% from nuclear. Freiburg's goal is to decrease nuclear's influence, and increase the energy from renewables to 10% by 2010. This can not be achieved by PV, so the city is looking at obtaining more energy from biomass from Black Forest woodchips, and from wind power, which is generating a very heated debate, due to concerns that the turbines will spoil the Black Forest scenery. Six 1.8 MW turbines were erected in 2003, increasing the energy from renewables to 3.9%, but there is a court injunction against two of them. There are also plans to explore geothermal deep heat, which is very good in the Upper Rhine area around Freiburg.

Arhitekt Rolf Dischi kodulehekülg, kus päris palju huvitavat kraami Freiburgi jm. projektide kohta.
